Removing ( Refitting )

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal or, for cars equipped with the Start&Stop device, the "negative dummy pole".

1. Unscrew the bolts.

2. Move control panel (2a) slightly by undoing retainers (2b).

3. Disconnect the electrical connection.

4. Keep the control panel.

Refitting ( Removing )

- Check that the control panel is not damaged.

- Connect the electrical connection.

- Position the control panel and do up the retainers.

- Tighten the screws.

- Connect the negative battery terminal or the "negative dummy pole".

Several of the CAN nodes - including the instrument panel - are programmed with default settings that the customer will find when they acquire the vehicle. If the panel is replaced, the Parts Dept. will send a "pristine" component.Once fitted, the data memorised in the Body Computer must be transferred to it by carrying out the PROXY ALIGNMENT procedure using the Examiner.

- Check that the control panel instruments are working.
